·
Each costume should reflect a manga or graphic novel

provide a reference picture of their character for the judges. Reference
pictures may be printed from the Internet, copied from a book, film cover, or
any other source.
·
Costumes must be handmade and may not extend more than 2
feet in any direction, due to the blocking of traffic flow and other hazards.
Only one costume per contestant may be entered.
·
Costumes must be suitable for a PG audience. No nudity or
semblance of nudity allowed.
·
Each contestant may enter as an individual or as a group
(keep in mind there may not be enough prizes for everyone in the group). If a
member of your group is late, you may be asked to let others go ahead of you.
·
Please wear footwear at all times. Items with wheels
(rollerblades, skates, or other modes of transportation) are not allowed inside
the building, with the exception of wheelchairs.
·
Your costume may not
include any of the following: live pets, wild animals, swords, knives, guns,
projectiles, or anything that has a sharp metal edge or otherwise counts as an
authentic weapon. Likewise, your performance may not contain explosive effects, messy substances, etc. All parts
of your costume must leave the stage with you after your walk-on is complete.
·
No offensive language or horseplay will be permitted.
Likewise, heckling, catcalling, or other unsportsmanlike conduct will result in
your disqualification from the contest.
·
No play-acting or stunt-fighting with props allowed before,
during, or after the contest on any part of the library property. This
includes, but is not limited to, the library building, the library grounds, and
any offsite event spaces.
We
reserve the right to ban or remove any attendees who do not follow the above
rules or are creating a disturbance or hazard for other attendees. Please be
courteous and respectful to others, and have fun!
